Flood 2016

This has been a crazy year we lost a lot of gear and many games were rescheduled because of the tragic weather we received!

“COVINGTON, Va. (WSET) – A summer baseball team in Covington has to buy all new gear because they lost most of their in the floods that went through Alleghany County.

The locker room at Casey Field where the Lumberjacks play was completely wiped out by floodwaters. The armory where the team was holding a camp, though, was used as a place for people to go during emergency evacuations.

Not only was the gear ruined, but you can tell furniture and the concession stand area were destroyed as well.”
