2019 Lumberjacks Youth Baseball Camp
LUMBERJACKS
BASEBALL CAMP
Lumberjacks Baseball Camp is designed to teach students general skills, fundamentals and knowledge of the game of baseball. Individual and group drills will be incorporated in daily activities as well as light game competition. We will emphasize a positive learning environment in which each camper can work to improve their skills. The camp is sponsored by the Covington Lumberjacks Baseball, Inc.

Casey Field – Covington, Va.
Boys & Girls, Ages 6-13
$45.00* a child (if paid by Tues 7/2)
*Payments after 7/2 will be assessed a $5 late fee charge. However, applications will still be accepted up to starting day of camp at the field. Payments are accepted by mail, at home games, or at Image Express – 362 W. Main St – Covington (9a-5p).
This camp will be facilitated by the 2019 Lumberjacks team. The cost of camp will include a t-shirt as well as meal & autograph session with the Jacks at the conclusion of camp on Friday, July 12th.
On the following Tuesday, July 16th, campers are encouraged to attend the ‘Jacks home game at 7pm (arrive at 6:45) where they will be able to run onto the field with players & be recognized for their hard work.
All proceeds from this camp will go to the Lumberjacks baseball team in order to provide travel and meals for the players.

Location: Camp will be held at Casey Field in Covington, Va. In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, camp updates/changes/postponements will be posted on our Lumberjacks Facebook page. We reserve the right to move camp indoors only as a last resort to ensure campers get 4 days of instruction.
Grouping: Participants will generally participate in their own age group/playing level. However, we reserve the right to move a camper up in the age groups depending on individual skills and abilities.
Items to Bring: COLD DRINK & hat, sunscreen, bug spray, glove/mitt, cleats, bat (not required), practice pants & cool/comfortable tee. NOTE: Please write camper’s name on all items. The Lumberjacks are not responsible for loss or damage to any camper’s belongings.
Parent Participation: Parents are encouraged to attend the camps to watch if they desire. However, we do ask that all parents NOT go on the field during camp.
Children should be dropped off between 8:45am-9:00am and picked up between 12:00pm and 12:15 pm.
